Oxybenzone. Avobenzone. Octinoxate. Names you can't pronounce, sitting on your skin all day, every day. The conventional sunscreen industry spent decades making SPF as complicated, chemical-heavy, and opaque as possible. And for a long time, most of us just accepted it.
Alex Tannenbaum didn't. He started asking the questions the big brands couldn't answer honestly: What is actually in this? Does all of it need to be here? What would it look like to start from scratch, with zero compromises?
The answer became Creamed.

Alex Tannenbaum didn't come from the beauty industry. He came from a place of frustration, a refusal to settle, and a stubborn belief that ten great ingredients beat a hundred mediocre ones.
After testing over 200 formulations in his own lab, he built the sunscreen he'd spent years looking for. Then he decided everyone deserved it too.

Alex spent years working across technology and consumer products before turning his obsessive attention to detail toward skincare. He wanted a sunscreen he could actually read the label of, something that treated people like adults who deserved the truth about what was in the bottle.
When he couldn't find one that met his standards, he started building it himself. He sourced the ingredients, ran the numbers, and iterated through every formulation until he landed on something he was proud to put on his face every single morning. That formula is Creamed.
